David Hockneys work

These are some of Hockneys peices, these show his amazing eye to detail, not always did David make sure all the images are aligned properly or parallel to one another, infact most of his work is purposley without a pattern as it gave him the desired effect he wanted. He even did some photography in which he used his mothers image and he created a collage effect on it. Another way Hockneys work could be described as is a Mosaic, thhis type of art is using little tiles of glass to build up to create a bigger picture, this type of art was used in the 18th century when the greeks used pebbles to get the Mosaic effect, this type of art then rubbed off on to the Romans who then used it to decorate houses and businesses. The Romans also used Mosaics on the floor and these were also revealed at archaeological sites.
